Flatland Slalom Skiing for Beginners

We live in coastal Virginia where it very rarely snows more than enough to give us a little sparkle of white. Over the weekend we got a nice, deep (for us) pile up of snow and we are enjoying it immensely. We dug out our middle daughter’s old snow skis from when she was ten or so. They fit our 8 year old perfectly! Lucky for us, there is a nice, gentle slope and thanks to Joe, we had tire ruts which were far more slick than the unpacked powder. Dad would give her a shove, I would click away, she would slip to the bottom, giggling the whole way.

I hope this has inspired hubby to take us skiing soon! It is so much fun.
