Bible Block

Really, I don’t know the ‘right way’ to do a Waldorf Bible block. It was probably supposed to be last year anyway but I can’t start working on Saints until we’ve covered the basic Bible stories. Here’s what I am doing.

We read the stories from a Children’s Bible story book, a gift from Uncle Dale before she was born. After week, Martina chooses her favorite story and we go to our NIrV children’s study bible and we read the whole event from that. Then we spend another day during which we discuss the story. On the last day, we choose a scene to crayon in her MLB. I crayon the example for her, then she crayons the picture into her MLB and adds a title. We aren’t doing any summary writing for this block, just trying to learn the very important life lessons offered in the Bible.
