or, to be exact, the first horse show in which my little girl rode a pony without being led by Mommy or Daddy.
She somehow managed to weather 100 degree heat, in an indoor arena (no sun but also no breeze) from 9am until 5pm. Long, long day for an 8 year old. She won a 2nd place ribbon in one of her classes and is thrilled. She also had to compete against one of her friends! The two girls handled the competition very well by wishing one another luck before and congratulating each other once the division was finished.
The experience was very positive and she is completely hooked and looking forward to cross rails and riding her own pony in shows next year.
