Independence Day

We spent the day by pool, grilling burgers, eating tomatoes from our garden, boating with Randall and later, boating back up the river to watch fireworks with friends. It was a perfect, beautiful day and though it’s easy to take for granted the way we live and the good fortune we enjoy, we did all take note of how incredibly blessed we are to live where we live and to have our health, happiness and the freedom to enjoy them.

Our home town, downtown.

Car crossing the draw.

Cruising…

Going home we boated under a train trestle…with a train moving over it.

These two are photos of the same view, one during the day, the other just past dusk. Obviously taking a nighttime photo in a boat is difficult and the pics tend to be blurry. Still, the colors in the sky were phenomenal.
